Most HVAC companies send a truck. We send a person you already know by name and photo before the doorbell rings. That difference matters when it’s 102 degrees and your AC quit at 4 p.m. The Austin crew is small on purpose, four techs and a coordinator who know this city’s quirks: limestone slabs that shift ductwork in Allandale, cedar pollen that clogs condensers in Westlake, and attic temperatures that hit 140 degrees by June. Every one of them works under the same rule Devin set when he opened this location: a written price before any work starts, a written guarantee on every repair, and no exceptions.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Devin Marlowe, Owner
Devin started turning wrenches on residential systems in 2003, and he still runs calls when the schedule gets tight. He holds a Texas air conditioning and refrigeration contractor license and has worked on nearly every major brand that shows up in Austin homes, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. What he tells every tech on the team is the same thing he told himself when he opened this location: if you wouldn’t feel good explaining the bill to your own mother, don’t hand it to a customer. He’s the one who answers the phone when you call after midnight, and he means it when he says no voicemail. Devin will occasionally pull a homeowner aside and say, plainly, that the part is going to take three days to source, then explain the workaround that gets cold air moving tonight anyway.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has thirteen years of residential HVAC experience, the last four in Austin after moving from the Rio Grande Valley. He’s EPA 608 certified for refrigerant handling and is the first call for anything involving a compressor, a reversing valve, or a refrigerant recharge, which he’ll explain in plain language as “refilling the fluid that moves heat out of your home.” Marcus handles most of our emergency AC repair calls in the summer because he’s calm in an attic at 140 degrees and doesn’t rush the diagnostic just because it’s hot. He keeps a small cooler of Gatorade in his van year round, a habit from his first Austin summer. When he’s not on a call, he’s usually rebuilding a vintage motorcycle engine in his garage in Pflugerville.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena came to Brandt HVAC Co Austin from a commercial HVAC background, but she prefers residential work because, as she puts it, “you actually meet the people you’re keeping comfortable.” She’s certified by NATE in air conditioning installation and runs the install side of the business: new AC systems, furnace replacements, and the occasional full duct remodel in older homes around Hyde Park and Rosedale. Elena is the person who insists the job site gets swept before the truck pulls away. She lives in East Austin with two rescued greyhounds, and she once spent a four-day July heat wave installing furnaces, not because furnaces break in July, but because schedules shift before winter and she doesn’t like rushing in November.
Dana W., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when a furnace dies in January or an AC condenser shorts out in August. She’s worked in home-service dispatch for nearly a decade, and she’s the reason every customer gets a name and photo of their technician before the visit, along with a badge check at the door. Dana runs the schedule so that emergency calls in places like Round Rock or Cedar Park don’t wait until tomorrow afternoon for a technician who’s already on that side of town. She also handles the paperwork behind our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a repair fails within the guarantee, Dana coordinates the free return visit and makes sure nobody argues about it. She keeps a typed list of every Austin coffee shop within ten minutes of a supplier warehouse, a list she’ll share if you ask nicely.
One Standard, Every Job
You will not get a different experience depending on which of our techs shows up. The standard at Brandt HVAC Co Austin is the same on every call, from a capacitor swap in April to a full furnace replacement in December. Every technician is background-checked and identity-verified through the Threshold Standard, which means the person at your door is the person we told you to expect, with a photo ID badge to prove it. If someone arrives who you were not told to expect, that visit is on us, and we make it right. Every customer gets a written price before any work starts, on every single job, with no exceptions. Every repair includes a written guarantee that states exactly what it covers and for how long. And every phone call is answered by a live person, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Night, weekend, or holiday, it’s Dana or Devin or whoever is on call, not a phone tree.
